It is almost a sure thing that you can not find a woman who does not want to have beautiful, attractive and elegant finger nails. If women think that they can impress men with their beautiful finger nails, they are absolutely right. A study corroborates this fact. Most of the men who were interviewed during this study agreed that they liked women with well-maintained and manicured fingers. Innovative and creative nail designs greatly enhance the beauty of finger nails.
You can seek the services of a competent beautician to get these nail designs done but if you desire, you can do it on your own also. You can do it even at your home. It is not necessary that you should visit a beautician every time you wish to have these designs done. The only point is that you should be creative and should have an eye for innovation and fashion. You can get all the required accessories from the local cosmetic stores or if you want, you can buy them online also. Online purchases will give you a wider and more abundant scope because you can search for various items in the market sitting comfortably at home. You can compare the features of the items available and choose the best-suited items. You can also make a comparison of costs of these accessories and limit your purchases within your budget.
In fact, you will enjoy making these designs yourself but before you start the process, you should make a few preparations. To start with, you should check if your nails are clean because if you try to make the designs on unclean nails, you can not have the desired results. Therefore, you should clean them properly, trim them and shape them also. You can use a small brush for doing this. You should push back the cuticles of the nails. You can get a nail file from the local cosmetic stores and use it for shaping and furbishing the nails.
There are a number of nail art products available in the market. A number of manufacturers are making these art products and therefore, you should choose the most appropriate brand of nail art products. You should be ready to spend considerable time for doing a thorough research about the various brands that are available in the market before choosing the right products that will produce the desired results on your finger nails. Your aim is to have the most beautiful and attractive nail designs and you can achieve this aim by using these products. You should also know the latest trends in nail designs because people should not think that you are old-fashioned. Nail designs are constantly changing and improving very frequently. So, instead of sticking to the designs you like, you should choose the ones that are trendy and contemporary. There are various fashion magazines that may help you in getting these details. You can search on the Net also to know the latest trends. You can blend your creative ideas along with the design details you collect from these magazines and the Net. By doing so, you can have the designs that are contemporary. Your creativity and innovation will also be "visible" in them. This means that you are personalizing your nail designs. By taking this step, you will have unique and the most attractive designs on your finger nails. Apart from choosing trendy art products, you should check if the products you choose are good and of high-quality.
You should never forget the fact that a proper nail care is the most important aspect of having attractive finger nails. This depends not only on applying nail designs but on taking regular, nutritious foods. You should always ensure to have enough doses of vitamins and minerals and of course, proteins. A fiber diet is always better than junk foods, processed foods and oily and spicy foods. You should also be careful to protect your finger nails from getting hurt or injured. Harsh detergents and cleaning agents may harm your finger nails and therefore, you should avoid using them. You can use gloves at the time of doing household chores.
The above tips will go a long way in helping you to possess the most attractive finger nails you have been aspiring to have.

Healing Circle
By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Toni_Muirhead]Toni Muirhead
Women have the opportunity to accept free massages as they wait for mammograms, breast ultrasounds and biopsies at the Imaging Center. Recently as each woman received their chair massage, shared stories circulated the small circle of women. It was as if the massage relaxed them enough to open up and talk about the stress of waiting for their test and other stressors of their lives.
The oldest woman, 88 years old, talked about being a caregiver since she was 18 years old. First she took care of her parents, then her spouse and children. We listen as she remembered that when she retired to Florida with her husband, she became the condo caregiver. She would check on her neighbors, knock on their doors to make sure they were OK. Now 25 years later, she is the oldest and her neighbors make sure she is OK.
Another woman, originally from the Bahamas gets misty eyed as she waited for her test. She actually moved closer to the older woman as if to soak in her knowledge of how she coped with being blessed in the mess of life. She wants us to know that her work week has been decreased by 2 days. She is the major breadwinner for herself, her handicapped son, her mom, and is also sending money back home to feed 5 children. The older woman paused, took the time to offer wise woman wisdom culled from her years of experience.
Someone else mentioned their strong faith and how "God never gives you more than you can handle." This was followed by, "I wish he didn't think so highly of me, he could throw me a little less struggle in my life." Laughter from the group lightens the moment.
There were comments about how the massage and breathing techniques let them relax and helped them picture themselves at the beach instead of worrying about the results of the tests. The offers of massage allowed these women to reach out and communicate with each other for a few moments of their day. They choose to be present with each other for a short time and connect in a healing circle. Comfort-oriented massages in an imaging center within a hospital setting opens up a unique opportunity during a time which is usually stressful and isolated. An example of how massage within a hospital setting is part of the healing experience to connect and share moments in their lives that made them stronger. http://www.tonimuirhead.com/

Women in Power: Where Are the Scandals?
By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Nancy_Travers]Nancy Travers
Political scandals with racy details and sexual deviance aren't a new topic these days. There's enough relationship drama in politics to fulfill everyone's need for soap opera style drama. Anthony Weiner has revealed himself via Twitter. Arnold Schwarzenegger has a love child. And who can forget the infamous Bill Clinton tryst with Monica Lewinsky?
No, we certainly aren't seeing any shortage in badly behaving politician. There is, however, a very noticeable trend in these political sex scandals: Most of them involve a man in power, not a woman. This begs the question: Does power affect everyone's behavior? Or is it only men in power who are swayed to act on their sexual impulses?
Several scientific studies suggest that gender does not, in fact, have a large role in sexual behavior, including infidelity and other inappropriate sexual actions. The author of one such study on sexual behavior and power explains, "People in power are more confident, self-assured, assertive, and impulsive than people low in power." These traits encourage their powerful possessors, male or female, to act. When they are attracted to someone, they easily assume that the person is interested, and act on their assumption knowing that they will win over the object of their desire.
But if this is true, and women are just as guilty as men in these power plays for sex, where are all the female driven sexual scandals?
The easy answer is that there simply aren't enough women in political office. How can women be expected to hold the limelight when they're so outnumbered? In 2009, women made up 16.4% of Congress, and 12% of the nation's governors. Women also only accounted for one out of fifty-three instances of an affair in office! That's less than 2% of the scandals! As Lane Wallace once stated, "Women aren't even holding up their fair percentage of scandals!"
While numbers may be an easy culprit, the real reason for fewer political scandals might lie with our perception of the ideal man versus the ideal woman. When you ask a woman or a man to describe the ideal man, it wouldn't be uncommon for them to mention a man's power, his status, and his competency. The more power and competence a man possesses, the more attractive he will seem to women at large! From an evolutionary stand-point, women are looking for a man that can be a protector and a provider; political power is one modern aspect that can translate to meet these needs. In a more modern sense, women might still simply be looking for the perfect husband: one in control, one in a position to raise their social status, and one with enough wealth to provide the perfect life.
On the other hand, politically powerful women haven't been known to set men's hearts aflutter. In fact, women with high levels of perceived power and competence can actually be threatening and less appealing to men! Historically, a woman was valued for her looks before anything else (except, perhaps her dowry). Our culture simply isn't congratulating female politicians on their competence in the same way it congratulates its males; the affairs and office trysts only seem to go to the men.
The way that we value women is, thankfully, beginning to change. More and more men are recognizing the value of a competent, powerful woman. However, the change has not brought an increased amount of scandal for female politicians. There must be another difference that separates the men from the women in this matter. Many psychologists point to a sense of entitlement as the second gap in the sex scandal link.
In general, men have a sense of entitlement about sex that women do not appear to possess. Men view sex as their reward for achieving power, and many subconsciously use sex as a way to reassure themselves of their position and strength. Not only do powerful men view sex as a right, women continue to reward this idea! Thanks to our perception of an attractive man, many women perpetuate this sense of entitlement and sexual misconduct by giving into advances and engaging in affairs!
Again, women view sex and power in a remarkably different light. While men almost demand sex as they gain power, women perceive power in withholding sex! Perhaps another hold over from days when women could be little more than housewives, women neither chase sexual opportunities nor demand them as frequently as their male counterparts. If anything, the link between sex and power for women deters them from engaging in sexual misconduct! Women who are old enough to hold positions of power are generally more concerned with being taken seriously, not being seen as attractive by their secretaries of the opposite sex.
So where are the sexual scandals of women in power? The female politicians exposing themselves online? The female governor having a love child with the hotel attendant? It's simply not happening. Some things will remain part of a man's world.

Taking Care of Women's Issues
By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Roberto_Sedycias]Roberto Sedycias
Being a woman can be such a toilsome thing, particularly when there are so many little things that we have to deal with, but here are some ways to take care of yourself. Once a month we endure agonizing cramps, bloating, and emotional moodswings that can really take a toll on oneself and also make others around you feel like you have gone crazy. In fact, as if the aching, tearing pain of cramps wasn't enough, the psychological effects seem to be just as trying, as you swing from being so sad to see a man eating lettuce to getting searing mad when your friend forgets to say hello to you and it just makes you all over the place till you feel you will go mad from the effort of trying to stay calm, and then you feel bloated and heavy and lethargic and in a miserable state of pain.
One way to reduce this pain is to take some medication and to make sure that you take it right when the pain starts so that you can tackle it right from the get go and you will not be stuck with a lot of misery and pain all the while. You can try your best to make sure that you do your best to take the medication right at the start of the pain coming so that you can get the best effects because sometimes if you wait too long the medicine will not be able to take effect and you will have to endure some long bouts of pain for a while.
Also eating some chocolate can help because of the content of the cocoa beans and you can feel some relief, too, psychologically as chocolate has been known to induce happiness and make a person feel better. When you feel your mood swinging, try to stay calm and do things that will help you feel a little better like being around people you love and care about and letting them listen to you and make you feel a little better about what you are enduring and going through. This might help you get through what you are going through a little easier and you can figure out how to let them help you, as well.
And as far as the other issues go, you can handle them with ease because being a woman is all about being strong in the face of calamities. One thing that often affects the hearts of many women are the trials they endure from cruel men. This can often cause low self esteem and can make a woman feel badly about herself after a time or two. Well remember to never let a man get you down, just like you can not let cramps get the best of you, because there is a medication for both things, men and cramps, and that is time, just give it some time and after a while you will see that neither hurt you anymore and you do not have to feel badly about yourself because it is a natural part of life. And once it passes, better things will come.

How to Get Silky, Shiny, Vibrant Hair
By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Sherry_Brister]Sherry Brister
A vital accessory, a woman's hair is often the first thing people notice when she walks into a room. While we all wish for the lustrous locks we see in the commercials, our roots divulge the secrets behind our true color, our split ends scream neglect, and lack of shine makes our hair appear dull and lifeless. With the power to tell all, it's no wonder our hair keeps us plastered to the mirror throughout the day. The following are some tips for promoting silky, shiny, vibrant hair...so the next time you enter a room, your strands will only have good things to say.
First and foremost, practice healthy habits. The vitamins and nutrients we ingest directly benefit our hair, contributing to its shine, strength, and overall health. Additionally, staying properly hydrated helps keep hair soft and supple, and works to prevent breakage and brittle, dried-out strands. It is important to note that increasing your water intake does not mean excessive washing. Conversely, overuse of shampoo products will counteract any moisture being put in, as will constant blow-drying. Strive to up your water levels by investing in a dishwasher-safe water bottle to carry with you throughout the day. Over time you'll begin to notice the boost the added H2O delivers not only to your hair, but to the rest of your body as well.
In addition to creating and maintaining a healthy lifestyle, you can help out your hair by investing in good products. Avoid 2-in-1 shampoos/conditioners which inevitably leave hair coarse and dry. Instead, find a brand you like that sells both products separately. Choosing good products doesn't have to mean spending more money. Try a few different brands within your price-range, and assess your results in order to figure out which products best suits your needs.
Aside from the products you use in your hair while showering, equal attention must be paid to those that you use after you're done. This is an especially important point if you rely on a hairdryer and/or hot-iron in order to complete your 'do. Before using electric hair tools, ALWAYS be sure to use a protective serum, available at your local drugstore. It would also be wise to switch to an ionic hair dryer, which works with the moisture in your hair to safely dry it without frying it. If you prefer to air-dry, apply a few drops of leave-in conditioner while your hair is still damp. The leave-in conditioner will help your hair maintain softness and control frizz while it dries.
Where tools are concerned, ditch your brush and switch to a wide-tooth comb. If you must brush, find one with soft bristles that won't pull and break your delicate strands. Also, look for hair bands without metal clasps to keep your hair from catching. Lastly, be sure to trim your hair frequently, about once every six to eight weeks. Even when growing your hair long it is important to constantly trim away split, dead ends, thereby promoting healthy new growth.
Application of the above tips on a routine basis will leave your hair healthy, happy, and of course beautiful. Good luck!

Women Facing Poverty in Retirement
By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Stacey_L_Spencer]Stacey L Spencer
Women often reach retirement age with fewer pension benefits and retirement assets than men. All workers need to save more for retirement, but women face added challenges because they have lower earnings, experience higher job turnover, and have a longer life expectancy. Women generally begin retirement with smaller pensions than their male counterparts but usually live longer than men. Social Security is intended to be a supplemental source of income in retirement, but too many women are forced to rely on it as their sole source support in retirement. As a result of these issues, elderly women in the United States have one of the highest poverty rates of any industrialized nation.
Women Save Less than Men for Retirement
Chief among the reasons that women save less than men is that women earn less than men; lower earnings equal lower retirement savings. The Equal Pay Act was passed in 1963 and yet almost half a century later, women make only 77 cents for every dollar earned by men. According to the National Women's Law Center, "This persistent pay gap translates to more than $10,000 in lost wages per year for the average female worker."
Equal pay is not just a women's issue; it is a family issue. Women make up half of the U.S. workforce and mothers are the primary breadwinners or co-breadwinners in nearly two-thirds of American families. Wage discrimination harms many American families by limiting their economic security now and their retirement security in the future.
In April, the Paycheck Fairness Act was reintroduced in both the House and the Senate. This bill would help eliminate wage discrimination.
Women Have Different Work Patterns
Women have different work patterns. Women generally spend less time in the workforce due to family care-giving responsibilities, from raising children (and grandchildren) to caring for elderly parents. Also, women are more likely to work in part-time jobs that don't qualify for a retirement plan. Such job interruptions mean less opportunity to save for retirement and to contribute to Social Security. Of the 62 million wage and salaried women (age 21 to 64) working in the United States, just 45 percent participate in a retirement plan.
Married Women Often Rely on Spouse's Savings
It is not unusual for many married women to rely on their spouse's retirement savings. Under traditional pension plans, benefits to married workers were paid as a lifetime annuity with benefits for the spouse. However, in the majority of 401(k) plans, spousal consent is not required for a worker requesting a distribution. This means that a worker can take a distribution from the plan without the spouse's consent (or knowledge). The trend towards 401(k) plans and away from traditional pension plans has contributed to the lack of retirement funds for many women.
Women Invest More Conservatively Than Men
Studies indicate that women invest more conservatively than men. Women tend to emphasize safety over return. They often save less for retirement and then sacrifice long term growth with a low risk investment strategy.
Women Need More Money for Retirement
Women have longer life expectancies than men. Life expectancy for women now is approximately five years more than that for men. Consequently, women spend longer in retirement. For married women, 70% of them will outlive their husbands. Unmarried women (including widows) age 65 and older rely on Social Security for 50 percent of their total income. Because women tend to live longer than men, they are in greater danger of outliving their other sources of retirement income.
Startling Statistics
The latest Census Bureau data show a significant and alarming increase in poverty and extreme poverty among women, men and children in the United States in 2009. Poverty among women increased to 13.9 percent, up from 13.0 percent in 2008 - the highest rate in 15 years and the largest single-year increase since 1980. More than 16.4 million women were living in poverty in 2009, the largest number since the Census began collecting this data in 1966.
Changes Needed to Close the Retirement Savings Gender Gap
Continue to work to eradicate the wage disparities between men and women.
Increase pension coverage for lower-wage, part-time and temporary workers.
Provide Social Security earning credits for care-giving.
Require spousal consent for 401(k) distributions.
Allow tax-free transfers of retirement assets between spouses.
Provide investment education specific to the overly cautious investment strategy chosen by many women.
Ultimately, the basic saving strategies are the same for men and women: start saving early, contribute as much as you can to your company retirement plan and don't take money out of your retirement plan to meet short-term needs. However, it is especially important for women to stay focused on saving for retirement as pay inequity and the work patterns of many women reduce their future retirement income.

Tubal Reversal or IVF - The Ultimate Decision
By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Debra_Verville]Debra Verville
For any couple that wants to have fertility restored after having a tubal ligation the decision between IVF and tubal reversal is no doubt extremely tough. Wanting to have that second chance at having a baby means having to make the right decision, this is not easy. Even when you think you have made the final decision you are still second guessing yourself.
The best thing a couple can do is research the facts. Know the pros and cons to both options. If you have questions, then ask all of them. If you do not get the answers you are looking for then ask someone else. If you have a question on tubal reversal then call a tubal reversal center. Asking a physician who really has not researched the tubal reversal success rate or has never dealt with IVF will not get you the answers you need. Ask the people who are considered to be the experts in what they do.
When trying to make the decision it is also wise to gather as much information as you can and write it all down. What are the costs of both tubal reversal and IVF? Different doctors will charge differently. What is included in the price?
When gathering the information to make the decision always be sure to ask the success rates of each. When getting the success rates make sure they are the successes of the particular physician you are speaking with. A blanket answer of "well tubal reversal surgery has a better outcome over IVF" is not acceptable. Has there been information gathered or a study to prove this? Who conducted this study and where can I view it? Do not accept answers that you are not comfortable with.
When speaking to the staff how are you treated? If you call and are treated as though you are being a pest it is time to move on. A person asking a question because they want the facts makes a better patient. An informed patient is a person who knows what is going on and what to expect.
Although it has been proven that tubal ligation reversal surgery does have a better pregnancy success rate over IVF it is up to the couple to decide. They have to be the ones to make the ultimate decision because in the end there are no guarantees. A couple has to make the decision that they feel is right for them. By gathering information and seeking support the couple will be able to make the informed decision that is so crucially needed at this time in their lives.

Support Group Makeover: How to Create a Community for the Modern Woman
By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Marion_Chamberlain]Marion Chamberlain
What life-changing strategy has Alcoholics Anonymous, Weight Watchers, Overeaters Anonymous, Gamblers Anonymous, and every 12-step program out there embraced to truly make their programs a massive success? They've harnessed the power of community + connection and leveraged it into a way of living for their members that helps these people overcome addictions, abuse and pain.
Now you might be saying: "That's fine and dandy, but fortunately I'm not in the need of such a support group." Yes, you might not need AA or Weight Watchers, but the life-changing strategy of leveraging community and connection can be just as life-changing for you. How so? Well, people who have support and connection in their life find themselves happier and more successful. These women also are typically healthier physically, more confident, and seem to more effortlessly follow their life's passion. However, most women today have gotten away from the old ways of when women had to rely heavily on each other for child-rearing, food supply, spiritual growth, and emotional support. Women our age find themselves in the role of the lone ranger tackling their life's issues on their own. And, let's be honest, it's just not a lot of fun tackling all of our life issues on our own. It's draining, frustrating, depressing and overwhelming. That's where the concept of a modern day woman support circle comes into play. We're just giving the 12-step programs and other support groups a makeover to make them into a game-changer for you. Here's how you create a community for you as the modern woman:
Shelve the advice from family, friends and colleagues. If we're honest, most of us reach out to our partner, family, friends or colleagues for when we need help or advice. However, if you get totally real with yourself, do you necessarily like or want to take their advice for your career, relationships, health, finances or personal issues? A good question to ask is: "Do they really have what I want?" If the answer is no, then shelve their well-intentioned advice for the time being - gracefully. The overall intent is that you want to start seeking support that will nourish you and make you feel good. That's why it's great to start practicing self-support through establishing boundaries around what doesn't serve you.
Seek out women who have what you want. So now that you've put some great boundaries around the well-intentioned, but not highly-desired advisors, you start to form a circle of women who motivate and inspire you. I'm not talking about celebrities here. I'm talking about women who you might come in contact with in your day-to-day activities, at conferences, spiritual gatherings, at networking meetings, volunteering, or who your friends have mentioned and praised. Write down their names. Do research on them. Write down exactly what about them you aspire to. You'll notice that I'm just focusing on women. There's a reason. Wouldn't you rather hear how a woman in a similar position took things on? And, how about those sports analogies that men typically use about situations or goal-setting? Do you even know what the terms mean? You want someone who has walked in your shoes.
Reach out and form your group. This is most probably the scariest step. We fear being rejected. Yet women are born collaborators and love when someone reaches out to them for help and support. Let her know that you would love to learn from her and admire what she's accomplished in her life. Yes, there might be some ladies you reach out to who do not have the time or space in their life at the moment. But there will be others who feel honored that you reached out to them and are happy to support you. Your support group can take on a two forms:
1. You have a group of women who aren't connected in any way, but they still are your support circle. You draw upon their support and advice when you need it.
2. You create a formal circle in which the ladies connect via phone, in person or a community forum at a given date and time. Everyone contributes to the group and equally support one another.
The important part is to actively seek out women who have what you want or aspire to. Don't just settle. You need women who will help you stretch beyond your current limits.
Community-building and forging connections with women can truly move you toward happiness and joy. It's the most underutilized tool in a woman's toolbox. Our women ancestors knew this. It's time for us to bring this back into our everyday living and get out of that lone ranger mode!

Am I Beautiful Enough?
By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Terry_Loong]Terry Loong
Throughout the ages beautiful women have turned the heads of the most powerful men on earth. Battles have been fought, won and lost for the love of a woman whose beauty has bewitched rulers of ancient times and stories of actresses marrying kings have always enchanted us with their fairy tale endings.
In today's ultra modern society a woman is expected to be fashionable and they should do the utmost to stay as beautiful as they possibly can. There are hundreds of beauty products on the market which claim to be able to do miracles and woman throughout the world spend a fortune on them in the hope that they will be able to slow time down a little.
Plastic Surgeons can turn back time with their surgical skills and Botox has certainly made its mark by offering women the chance of ridding themselves of those unwanted wrinkles with an injection or two. Growing old gracefully has become a thing of the past as more and more women treat themselves to the various procedures that keeps them looking young, manicured and beautiful.
Women will ask themselves the question 'am I beautiful enough' because peer pressure today is intense. Everywhere a woman looks they see stars of the silver screen, super models in glossy fashion magazines and singers who just get better looking as time goes by. Women feel that they need to keep pace with these icons who smile so confidently on the front pages the glossy journals on the newsstands.
In recent years just as in ancient times women have been expected to be beautiful, men adore having an attractive female on their arm because it gives them feel good. The beautiful woman is his trophy that he proudly shows off to the world and other men admire and even lust after her. History has certainly proved that this is often the case with the 'face that launched a thousand ships'.
The cosmetic industry has nursed their billion dollar trade by researching miracle creams and other products which they market through expensive add campaigns to women who hunger for these products no matter what they cost. Dentists can give anyone that perfect smile. A nip here and a tuck there from a Plastic Surgeon will give a woman that near perfect body and a few silicone implants later the woman blossoms from an ugly duckling into that beautiful swan.
A woman can be transformed from head to her toes with all sorts of procedures that will enhance her looks and make her look and feel a million dollars. The fact that it most probably will cost as much does not matter to the woman because the end result is worth the money she has to spend.
The question a woman will always ask herself no matter how beautiful she is will remain the same throughout time. Am I beautiful enough? The answer is that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, what one person thinks of as beautiful another may not.

How To Achieve A Natural Breast Lift Without Surgery
By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Steven_S_Moore]Steven S Moore
In the world where everybody wants to look good and feel good, you will somehow be pressured to fit in. For most women, the unavoidable but elegant aging process will lead to our precious breasts sagging. For some, of course, they just end up fine and the changes are usually not that noticeable. However, for a growing population it is not permissible and a lot of women are now searching for ways to diminish or eliminate the event of the sloping bust line even if it is just on an impermanent basis.
Sagging breasts become a problem as one reaches her forties or older where the body progressively loses some of its fullness or firmness. This is where breast lifts come in. When talking about breast lifts, you can either choose natural breast lift without surgery or go under the knife in the form of a breast augmentation. This non invasive breast augmentation is also known as the non surgical breast lift. Mastopexy or the surgery you have to undergo just to get rid of sagging breasts is really well-known but expensive. However, if you opt for some breast lift without surgery, you really have to know what your options are. Lucky for you, there are a lot of other options you could choose from other than just going under a knife, so you don't have to pay thousands of bucks for a major and not to mention, stressful operation. There are a lot of ways for women to get a breast lift without surgery. Here are some:
1. Maintain an even and healthy weight
- One of the best ways to maintain how your breasts look is to stick to an even and healthy weight. Gaining weight can stretch out the skin, making it less elastic and your skin usually does not shrink back if you lose some weight. Also, keeping your skin well hydrated and moisturized is important in order for you to keep your skin's elasticity. You can always do this by drinking 8-10 glasses of water per day.
2. Find a good-fitting bra
- A good fitting bra is important if you want to maintain your breasts since a good bra is one of the most amazing natural breast lifts that you can discover. There are a lot of women who are wearing the incorrect bra size and this would usually lead to a critical change in their breasts' appearance. Also, if there is too much bouncing in an improperly fitted bra can actually tear connective tissue in the breasts. It will be a very wise decision if you get yourself a properly fitted bra in order for you to avoid these.
3. Breast massage
- This technique is popular in Asia for improving the shape and tone of breasts. You can actually try to do this at home as long as you are aware of the proper way of doing it. Doing it in an improper way may actually cause damage so better do some research first.
4. Breast pumps
- Breast pumps basically work by applying pressure on the breasts thereby, stimulating the growth of breast tissue. These pumps can be manual or electric. It pulls up the epidermis creating a small gap which the body tries to fill up thus, increasing breast size.
5. Natural breast lift products
- These are available on the market and they usually claim to enhance the appearance of breasts. They usually come in creams and they usually have a skin tightening effect. Some also come as hormone replacements which were claimed to increase cell growth of breast tissue.
There are a lot of options to choose from if you want breast lift without surgery. All you need to do is select which one is the best one for you.

A History Of The Jewelry Box
By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Peter_David_Wendt]Peter David Wendt
Ancient Beginnings
Many centuries ago, boxes adorned with jewels and precious metals were used to store important documents and treasured pieces of jewelry. Storage options for documents and trinkets were few, so the casket-a container smaller than a chest, but larger than a simple box-was used. Some boxes were adorned with metals, others with embossed leather or carved wood. Others were encrusted with jewels or elaborately carved ivory. Only the extremely wealthy used caskets and jewelry boxes because no one other than the rich could afford to commission skilled craftsmen to create such items. The lower classes would not use such frivolous methods of storage.
Some jewelry boxes were very large and ornate, much like the ones used by Marie Antoinette, whose jewelry armoires are on display today in both France and England.
Trends in Trinket Boxes
In the Victorian era, small boxes for holding trinkets or a few rings were en vogue. Many of these were made of porcelain, and typically, they would showcase images of children, animals, and flowers on the lids. It was common to have several trinket boxes on shelves and tabletops during this era.
Early caskets in America showcased images of pre-Civil War plantation life. Others depicted interest in other cultures such as those of Egypt, Greece, or Rome.
In the early 1900s, metal jewelry boxes were all the rage thanks to the Art Nouveau movement. The caskets were cast in metal and finished in copper, gold, or silver. The outsides of these boxes depicted flowers, birds, and women with long hair. Some had a single flower motif on the outside as a nod to the Victorian trend of sending a message with flowers, and each flower representing its own meaning. Roses would symbolize love, for example.
Today, jewelry boxes are made of wood, carved stone, or cast metal. They may sit on a dresser or bureau or stand alone in the case of the jewelry armoire, which resembles a small cabinet on legs.
Modern Availability
After the Industrial Revolution, jewelry boxes were available thanks to mass production, and companies such as Marshall Fields, Sears and Roebuck, and Montgomery Ward, brought them to the people via mail order catalogs.
Today, nearly all women and some men, have some type of jewelry or trinket box for storing everything from rings and loose change to watches and brooches. Even children enjoy jewelry boxes, including boxes that also play music.

Makeup Tips For Instant Beauty
By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Maxwell_Unamba]Maxwell Unamba
Everyone has got one or more facial features we are not too proud of. The rightful use of makeup can enhance those features we are proud of, and hide or minimize those we don't want to flaunt.
In modeling industry, specialists are often found in the areas of makeup and hair, as well as fashion. The services of these professionals may not come handy, or be expensive for small promotional offers. In this case, a common knowledge of makeup tips becomes useful.
Here are some useful makeup tips:
Eye Shadow and Liner: You can make use of the eye-shadow, and eye pencil to get the eye feature right. For wide-set eyes, make use of a darker eye shadow around the inner rims and a lighter shadow around the outer rims of the eyes. Afterwords, use dark pencil to line the inner part of your lashes.
For narrow-set eyes, make use of a white eye pencil to apply a thin white line to the inner corners of your lashes. It is difficult to spot this by anyone. Applying a little quantity of silver eye shadow in the corner of the eye will make them open up and give them a pop. This will make your eye to appear bigger and younger.
The Lips: With lip stick and lip gloss you will be able to give your lip the look of your dream appearance. For a fuller lip appearance, use a pencil in the same color as your lips to trace the outline of your upper lip. Then, apply your lip stick color. Lip gloss on the inner region of your lips enhances the appearance.
For those with full lips who wish to make them look smaller, do not make use of lip gloss as this will magnify your lips. Making use of matte, deep colors will reduce their appearance.
Applying Foundation: This is used to outline facial features. When you want to hide, or magnify you natural features make use of darker foundation of between 2-3 shades darker than your complexion.
Making use of foundation to outline features is more effective at narrowing features you feel are too wide. If you want to narrow your face appearance, use darker shades of foundation below your cheeks and on the sides of your hairline.
To narrow a wide nose, use your usual foundation on the middle of your nose. Apply the darker shades around the sides to magnify the shadowing.
Making use of Blush: Blush is used to reduce, or magnify your facial features making your face appear more beautiful. For instance, if your nose is long and narrow, apply blush at the middle of your nose. If it is wide apply a layer of it on both sides.
If you have a small forehead and a large chin, apply blush around your eye and over your forehead. If you have a wide forehead and a small chin, apply blush around you ear down to your chin.

The Return of the Neckerchief
By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Maxwell_Unamba]Maxwell Unamba
One intriguing thing about fashion is that it is always undergoing a rebirth. In my follow-up with fashion over the years, I have come to realize that fashion is never dead. They only undergo regeneration, and get reborn with better style and class status. One of the fashion accessories that are experiencing a rebirth today is the neckerchief. The neckerchief was a fashion style of the Victorians that is grabbing everyone's throat today.
Whether you are walking down the catwalk in Milan or laboriously walking the high street, the countless ways in which you can wear this accessory makes it versatile enough to be incorporated into any look. Thus the neckerchief is establishing itself as a must wear fashion accessory for everyone. Be it on the runway or high street, this accessory is becoming easily noticed.
Silk is the fabric from which the neckerchief is made from. It is normally thin unlike a scarf, and it does not keep anybody warm. With the possibilities of a more varied ways to wear the neckerchief it has become the toast of most designers, and high street alike. The neckerchief complements most outfit selections by adding texture, layering and interest. It comes in a variety of pattern and adds plenty of color to your fashion statement.
The neckerchief is an attention grabbing fashion accessory that adds individualism, and flair to your look without affecting your style. It shows you care about the details by adding finishing touch to your casual, or smart outfits. They can be worn tight around the neck, or falling away under the neck revealing just a glimpse of color, or utilized neck braces style, or bludgeoning and bold. The neckerchief can be used in diverse ways. Let's have a look at few possible ways it can be used on three outfits:
Work outfit: This piece of silk can be tied tightly around the neck to cover the neck in the fabric. This gives a flashy formal look, and adding something exciting to the formal occasion.
Festival outfit: Left draping over a loose-tee, or worn tight to the throat. The neckerchief will give you a distinctive look from the crowd. It adds some cool flavor to your outfit.
Everyday outfit: One great way to adorn the neckerchief is to pair it up with a shirt. Tie it round the neck and then tuck the rest under the shirt, allowing showing only the part around the neck.
Another great way is to button down collared shirt, thread the neckerchief through, and at the collar leaves a little knot. You can also simply allow the neckerchief to cascade over a shirt.
If you really want to stand out from the crowd and get your friends taking this season, hit the market and add some fine collections of neckerchief to your wardrobe.
